About Membership
Membership at the Croatian Club Brisbane is open to anyone interested in supporting and participating in the club’s activities. The annual membership fee is $10.
- Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 18 and over.
- Membership period: 12 months from the date of joining.
- Voting rights: Members aged 18+ have the right to vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Member Benefits
The club is considering future member benefits to increase the value of membership. These may include:
- Discounts on event space bookings for private functions.
- Access to member-only events and cultural programs.
- Priority registration for workshops, classes, and programs.
- Invitations to community networking opportunities.
- Subscription to a member newsletter with club updates and announcements.
Membership Requirements
To become a member of the Croatian Club, you must meet the requirements specified in Article 6.11 of the Constitution:
6.1.1 Financial Members are those persons who are admitted as “Financial Members” of the Association by the Board, and shall be entitled to full voting rights and made eligible by the following criteria:
- (a) any person of Croatian birth;
- (b) persons of at least one of that person’s parents was born in Croatia;
- (c) proven descendancy of Croatian heritage;
- (d) a spouse or de-facto partner of such persons referred to in articles 6.1.1(a), 6.1.1(b) and 6.1.1(c);
- (e) is over 18 years of age; and
- (f) is a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia.
