The Croatian Youth Club Brisbane (CYC) is a recently founded group dedicated to bringing together young people of Croatian heritage within the community. Established with the goal of fostering connection and friendship, the club provides a welcoming space for youth to meet, socialise, and build lasting relationships with peers who share a common cultural background. It serves as a modern hub for the next generation to engage with their roots in a fun and relaxed environment.
At its core, the club’s mission is to celebrate and preserve Croatian culture by making it relevant and accessible for today’s youth. CYC organises a variety of social events throughout the year, with all upcoming activities and updates shared via their Instagram page. These gatherings are designed to be inclusive and engaging, creating a strong sense of belonging and community spirit among members.
In 2026, CYC is planning to introduce a monthly youth catch-up held on a Sunday. The first of these events will take place on Sunday 11 January 2026, providing an opportunity for young people to meet in a casual setting, discuss future events, and simply enjoy spending time together over lunch or drinks.
The Croatian Youth Club continues to grow and now has a committee of five members. With the ongoing support of the Croatian Club, CYC is looking forward to expanding its activities and strengthening its role within the community in the year ahead.
