Žensko društvo Brisbane (Women’s Group) is a welcoming and supportive social group for Croatian women in the Brisbane community. The group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm in the parish hall at 85 Henson Road, Salisbury QLD 4107.
Every second Wednesday, the parish hall becomes a warm and friendly meeting place for Brisbane’s retired Croatian women. These gatherings provide an opportunity for friendship, creativity, and connection, offering a comforting rhythm and a chance to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy time together.
What began as a simple social morning has grown into a cherished tradition. Around the tables, members can be found crafting, sewing, creating artwork, or simply catching up over coffee. The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar, filled with conversation that reflects lifelong friendships and shared cultural heritage.
For many, these Wednesday gatherings are a highlight of the fortnight — a place to stay active, stay connected, and continue celebrating Croatian culture in a supportive and uplifting environment.
